Will The Recession Encourage Women To Consider Equity Release
17/08/2010

One expert says that as a result of the economic downturn the UK’s financial services female staff have faced more challenges than men during the recession, having to cope with a job and a family making life difficult.
The president of the City Women’s Network, India Gary-Martin, said: “The recession has been challenging for everyone, but City Women’s Network believes it is a greater challenge for women in financial services. When the economic environment requires companies to tighten their belts, longer hours and less flexibility often ensue which can be very challenging for women with families.”
The number of female representatives on the boards of FTSE 100 banks has fallen from 13 to 9 % in the last year, says the expert.
Women aged over 55 years who would like to know how much money the value of their property could release to help them through the recession, can find out by contacting therightequityrelease.co.uk for equity release advice.
