Where You Live Affects Your Retirement Pension
17/05/2011

It has been recently reported that pension companies will take into account the life expectancy of individuals, according to where they reside, in addition to age, sex and health statistics. This could mean that those living in middle-class regions of the UK will be more than £10,000 worse off in retirement.
According to official figures, average life expectancy is highest in Kensington and Chelsea in London at 89 for women, and lowest in Glasgow at just 77, and for men it is 84 and 71 respectively.
Homeowners aged over 55 years who are concerned about their pension and would like to know how much money the value of their property could release to increase their income, can find out by contacting therightequityrelease.co.uk for equity release advice.
