UK unemployment still on the rise
15/09/2011

In the three months leading up to July this year the amount of unemployed in the UK rose sharply by an extra 80,000 people taking the total to 2.51 million.
These were the official figures released and it has been stated that this is the largest increase in almost two year according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS)
Youth unemployment also rose by a staggering amount to a total of 972,000 meaning there are nearly one million young people ages 16 to 24 years old that are unemployed in the UK.
With these latest facts and figures more people are trying to find ways of freeing up funds whichever way they can. Homeowners who are aged 55 years and over can do this through equity release
plans such as the drawdown lifetime plan.
With these plans they can release much needed money from their home to help their grandchildren or children get onto the property ladder, undertake important repairs or redecorate their home or simply to help top up their pension.
