UK unemployment reaches highest peak for 17 years
27/10/2011

The number of unemployed people in the UK rose during June and August to 2.57 million which according to official figures is the highest it has been for 17 years.
The unemployment rate for 16 to 24 years olds has also hit a record high of 991,000 during the same quarter.
It is believed that what we are seeing happening in the UK is the impact of the international financial crisis. So, with fears over job security as more companies announce losses rather than profit this year you may be looking to free up some money to top up your income or pension.
With equity release plans you can free up funds that would otherwise be tied up in your property.
If you want to find out more about how borrowing further funds on your existing plan or a new equity release plan could help you and your family release money from your house contact the right equity release.
