Price of milk to rise
22/11/2011

Robert Wiseman Dairies, which supplies over 30% of all fresh milk consumed in the UK have announced that prices will rise by 1.85p per litre to 28.43p. This price increase is to help farmers meet the rising costs of diesel and resin which is used to make the plastic bottles.
The price increase is being passed onto supermarkets including Tesco, Sainsbury’s and the Co-op, which is likely to have a subsequent impact on the price of milk in these stores.
This has come at a time when the supermarkets are currently undergoing a price war, with Tesco kicking off its Big Price Drop campaign which has seen the price of own label milk reduce by 24p per 4 pints.
Homeowners aged over 55 years who are worried about rising prices and would like to know how much money the value of their property could release to increase their income, can find out by contacting therightequityrelease.co.uk for equity release advice.
