New 155 a Week State Pension
18/04/2011

It has been recently reported that ministers are intending to support a new flat-rate state pension system. This will mean that all pensioners eligible for a state pension will receive £155 a week. The system will no longer be means-tested providing a guarenteed level of support that is greater than the current basic state pension.
This will benefit many individuals, one group likely to benefit the most is women who have taken time out to raise children.
The new system will not be available to existing pensioners, but only for people reaching the state pension when it is enforced.
Homeowners aged over 55 years who will not benefit from the new pension, are concerned about their level of income and would like to know how much money the value of their property could release to help, can find out by contacting therightequityrelease.co.uk for equity release advice.
