Might Equity Release Enable Financial Help for Children
21/10/2010

A new piece of research carried out by Aviva shows that some 30 per cent of people are looking to retired parents for financial help.
According to the report, 18 per cent of workers on the verge of retirement expressed concerns that their children would need them to step in and support them financially.
At retirement director for Aviva, Clive Bolton, said: "Rather than inheriting from their parents, our research suggests many adult children now expect financial help from their parents at a time of life when they may struggle to give it."
Equity release advice could help prepare for such an eventuality in advance and retirement plans modified accordingly.
Homeowners aged over 55 years who want to provide financial support for their children and would like to know how much money the value of their property could release, can find out by contacting therightequityrelease.co.uk for equity release advice.
