House prices see slight increase
01/11/2011

For the first time in a while house prices have seen a small increase. According to building society, Nationwide, house prices rose by 0.8%.
With the UK’s immediate future looking uncertain for the housing market and with the economy’s recovered expected to remain sluggish it has been predicted that house prices will most likely remain at this level or possibly decrease slightly over the next 12 months.
As the house prices are currently lower than usual now is a great time to buy and invest in property. So, whether it is helping your grandchildren or children take their first steps on to the property ladder or if you are looking to purchase a 2nd or 3rd property you may need to find a way to gather together enough for a deposit.
If you are a homeowner aged 55 and over then equity release may be able to help. With equity release plans such as the drawdown lifetime you can release those much needed funds that would otherwise be tied up in your current property.
