Homeowners Suffering High Oil and LP Gas Increases
26/04/2011

It has been recently reported that households using oil or liquid petroleum gas to heat their homes are paying at least £400 a year more for their energy. This is because prices are unregulated and need to be paid for up-front, making it difficult for consumers to spread their payments across the year.
It was reported that the average household using 2,300 litres of oil a year can expect to pay anything between £1,150 and £4,600 a year, this compares to £728 per year for a household connected to the gas network.
The average price for heating oil has recently rocketed by around 40%, but the price of crude oil has gone up only by around 10%.
Homeowners aged over 55 years who are concerned about the cost of heating oil and would like to know how much money the value of their property could release to help, can find out by contacting therightequityrelease.co.uk for equity release advice.
