Gas and Electricity Bills Set to Rise Further

It was recently reported that the wholesale price of energy for delivery to consumers next year is likely to rise by 25%. British Gas, Centrica also reported that this price rise has yet to be passed onto the consumer.
Fortunately due to the good weather, gas consumption is down 19% on last years figures and electricity is down 4%
A spokesman for Centrica, who pushed up bills by 7% after the coldest winter in 100 years, said the company had yet to take a decision on tariff increases.
