Equity Release for Bungalow Owners
03/11/2010

According to new figures, bungalows have increased in value more than any other type of home.
The latest Bank of Scotland report says bungalows have risen in value by eight per cent in the second quarter of the year, from £166,018 to £178,701, while detached houses saw growth of seven per cent and terraced homes saw prices decline by five per cent.
Bank of Scotland housing economist, Suren Thiru, said: "It is notable that the property types which have seen the largest average price rises over the past year are likely to have benefited from greater demand from those buyer groups currently most able to enter the housing market. The changing pattern of homes bought over the past decade highlights some significant socio-economic forces."
Owners of bungalows aged over 55 years who would like to know how much money the value of their property could release to increase their retirement income, can find out by contacting therightequityrelease.co.uk for equity release advice.
