Energy Bills Might Double in Five Years With Switch to Green Power
28/07/2011

It is claimed that over the next five years energy bills are expected to double as the Government supports the move to green power. The cost of this transformation is estimated at £200 billion, which will be passed onto consumers in the form of higher energy bills.
Conservative estimates suggest that a typical household will face a rise in the price of their energy bills by 50% over the next 20 years. An average bill of £1,000 per year will rise to £1,500 a year.
Homeowners aged over 55 years who are concerned about the cost of energy and would like to know how much money the value of their property could release to increase their income, can find out by contacting therightequityrelease.co.uk for equity release advice.
