Consumer confidence increases from its five month low
05/10/2011

According to a recent survey consumer confidence index has risen in September from August’s -31 to -30. Although, this means that it has only risen by a mere 1 point this rise is needed because it has been consistently dropping since May.
The survey revealed other areas slowly improving including outlook on personal finances which has risen by 1 point and the climate for major purchases which has risen by 3 points putting the level at -28.
This level is not expected to rise by much in October however as consumers start becoming more wary of spending especially in the run up to the festive period.
