Consumer Confidence is on the Wane
29/12/2010

Consumer confidence in the UK is negative but this should not have a significant impact on the British economy and those considering equity release because the UK is doing "slightly better" than previously anticipated, according to a member of the British Chambers of Commerce.
The economic advisor to the business organisation, David Kern, said: "The consumer confidence figures are obviously slightly negative but I don't think they are terribly critical. The debt crisis has had an effect on this."
He added that while Britain is up against a large deficit cutting programme, the measures will be beneficial in the long run.
Homeowners aged over 55 years who are worried about their retirement income and would like to know how much money the value of their property could release to help, can find out by contacting therightequityrelease.co.uk for equity release advice.
