BBC Staff Might Seek Equity Release Advice After Pension Scheme Changes
11/10/2010

The Guardian reports that despite the best efforts of director general Mark Thompson, BBC staff are still outraged at plans to alter the final salary pension scheme.
According to the Guardian, Mr. Thomson attended a meeting earlier this week and made a number of concessions including reviewing the pension top-up offered to senior executives.
The director said: “The review will take as its starting point the principle that pension provision across the BBC should be as fair and consistent as possible, no matter how senior the staff involved.”
However, staff are still upset over proposals to cap pensionable salary growth at one per cent a year.
Homeowners aged over 55 years who are concerned about how changes might affect their pension and would like to know how much money the value of their property could release to help them through their retirement, can find out by contacting therightequityrelease.co.uk for equity release advice.
