Are Motorists Being Driven off the Road by High Fuel Prices
19/07/2011

According to a recent report by breakdown firm Green Flag, 14% of car motorists are planning to stop using their car or purchase a car that is more cost effective in terms of fuel consumption and a further 7% of car motorists have switched to owning motorbikes.
Those that continue to drive their current vehicles are also changing the way that they use them. More than half of motorists have reduced speed to conserve fuel, 46% find the cheapest petrol station in the area to buy fuel and there has also been a rise in the use of public transport.
Prices have continued to rise, hitting an average of 136.6p per litre for unleaded compared with averages of 111.49p in 2010.
Homeowners aged over 55 years who are worried about high fuel prices and would like to know how much money the value of their property could release to increase their income, can find out by contacting therightequityrelease.co.uk for equity release advice.
