Latest Energy Giant to Increase Prices

From September 13 E.ON have announced their intention to raise the price of electricity by 11.4% and gas by 18.1%. This does not impact E.ON's Age UK Energy tariffs, which currently has a price freeze until September 2012.
E.ON is the fourth of the big six to announce significant price rises, which will add £170 to the average customer bill. World events, such as the sunami in Japan and ongoing conflict in Libya are being blamed for pushing up energy prices.
