One Third of Over 65s Have No Idea When They Will Retire
22/08/2011

It was recently reported in the National Press that the number of over 65s that have no idea when they will retire has quadrupled over the past year. 36% of people who have reached the official pension age are expected to continue to work, a figure that is up 9% compared to 2010.
The number of over 55s who have failed to plan for retirement by getting to grips with their own personal finances has also doubled to 2.4million.
The study of 1,607 adults found the pensions crisis has grown as the effects of the economic downturn have worsened.
Homeowners aged over 55 years who are worried about the level of their retirement finances and would like to know how much money the value of their property could release to increase their income, can find out by contacting therightequityrelease.co.uk for equity release advice.
