Scottish and Southern Customers Face 18 Percent Price Increases

It has been recently reported that Scottish and Southern Energy intend to raise the price of gas and electricity by up to 18%. This will impact a typical household's energy bill by as much as £171 per year.
Scottish Power was the first of the big six to raise prices in June followed by British Gas in July.
Rasies in the price of fuel is likely to push more families below the fuel poverty mark, as up to 10% of their income will be spent on heating.
