1 in 4 Women Will Retire on Under 10,000 Per Year
12/04/2011

It has been recently reported in the National Press that up to 26% of women retiring this year will have only £10,000 a year to live on when they stop working. This figure is made up of the state pension, any additional pensions and income from savings.
This is well below the minimum income standard which estimates that individuals need at least £14,400 per year to escape poverty.
Homeowners aged over 55 years who are concerned about the level of their retirement income and would like to know how much money the value of their property could release to help, can find out by contacting therightequityrelease.co.uk for equity release advice.
